Our In-Person services

  • 8 hour Course

    The Detox RN offers an interactive 8-hour in-person course tailored for your staff, encompassing 14 crucial subjects pertaining to the care of detox clients. Mastery of these topics is vital for providing proper care to detox clients.

  • Policy Fomulation

    The Detox RN can assist in crafting your policies and procedures for effective IMS (Incidental Medical Services) management. These policies align with both California state regulations and Joint Commission guidelines.

  • Mentoring Staff

    The Detox RN offers on-site, real-time guidance for your staff and is available even during off-hours to assist in navigating and solving complex real-time issues. Individual pre-assessments and post-assessments are administered to the staff to demonstrate their progress over time.

  • Management Guidance

    The Detox RN can assist your management staff in maintaining and implementing policies and procedures. Weekly assessments and comprehensive competency evaluations at the end of the program are provided to ensure that your management staff is fully prepared and confident to assume their roles independently.

8 hour Course

The 8 hour interactive training course includes 14 topics related to addiction treatment. Some of the topics included are:

  •  Substance Abuse Training

  •  Review of Detox medications commonly used for detox

  •  Documentation and Forms needed to stay compliant with the State and Joint Commission.

  • Overdose Training

  • Narcan Training

  • COWS/CIWA training

  •   How to recognize a mental health crisis and what to do

  •   Observational Rounds training

 This interactive course encompasses the aforementioned topics and includes demonstrations, hands-on practice, as well as competencies signed off by an RN.

Policies and procedures

The Detox RN will schedule a meeting with your management team to assess the specific policies and procedures required for your facility. These policies and procedures will be customized to align with your facility's unique needs while adhering to California state and Joint Commission guidelines. A comprehensive handbook for employees will be provided, covering policies related to IMS room management, medication observation, rounds, emergency response, hand hygiene, documentation, and more.

Subsequently, the Detox RN will play an active role in educating and training your team on these policies, ensuring they understand and can maintain compliance with both the Joint Commission and California state regulations.

Mentoring Staff

The mentoring program is month-long program for facility staff at the treatment center, including RNs, LVNs, and technicians.  This is a crucial component of ensuring high-quality care for clients in a substance abuse treatment setting.

The Detox RN offers on-site, real-time guidance for your staff and is available even during off-hours to assist in navigating and solving complex real-time issues.

This program is a comprehensive and proactive approach to staff development. Individual pre-assessments and post-assessments are administered to the staff to demonstrate their progress and enhancements over time. Management Guidance

 Management Guidance is an intensive 6-week program crafted to empower leaders or managers with the essential skills and knowledge required for adeptly overseeing nursing and technician staff within a detox facility. This program is focused on equipping managers to proficiently implement policies and procedures while upholding the highest standards of patient care.

The program's core strength lies in its dual approach, seamlessly blending theoretical expertise with hands-on mentorship, guaranteeing that managers emerge fully prepared to excel in their roles.

The Detox RN serves as an invaluable resource, delivering on-site, real-time guidance to your staff manager, with availability even during off-hours to tackle intricate and time-sensitive challenges head-on. To ensure that your management team is not only well-prepared but also confident in their ability to assume their roles independently, we conduct weekly progress assessments and comprehensive competency evaluations at the program's culmination.
