PMHNP Services
Beginning Fall 2025, the Detox RN will transition into the role of a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). With nine years of psychiatric nursing experience, she brings a deep understanding of mental health and addiction care. In her expanded role, she will be equipped to assess clients comprehensively and provide appropriate medications and individualized treatment plans to support their recovery journey.
As a PMHNP, she will integrate evidence-based psychiatric care with a compassionate, client-centered approach. This transition reflects a continued commitment to providing the highest standard of care, ensuring that clients receive the medical and psychological support they need throughout every stage of treatment and recovery.
8 hour Course
The 8 hour interactive training course includes 14 topics related to addiction treatment. Some of the topics included are:
Substance Abuse Training
Review of Detox medications commonly used for detox
Documentation and Forms needed to stay compliant with the State and Joint Commission.
Overdose Training
Narcan Training
COWS/CIWA training
How to recognize a mental health crisis and what to do
Observational Rounds training
This interactive course encompasses the aforementioned topics and includes demonstrations, hands-on practice, as well as competencies signed off by an RN.
Mentoring Staff
The mentoring program is month-long program for facility staff at the treatment center, including RNs, LVNs, and technicians. This is a crucial component of ensuring high-quality care for clients in a substance abuse treatment setting.
The Detox RN offers on-site, real-time guidance for your staff and is available even during off-hours to assist in navigating and solving complex real-time issues.
This program is a comprehensive and proactive approach to staff development. This investment in staff training will have a positive impact on both staff morale and client outcomes.
