About the detox rn

Linda Sittler, BSN, RN, The Detox RN, brings over a decade of nursing experience with a strong foundation in healthcare practices. Specializing in substance abuse treatment for the past nine years, she is dedicated to addressing the critical issue of addiction and providing quality care to detox patients.

As a former Charge Nurse at hospital detoxification units, Linda coordinated patient care in the early phases of recovery. Her leadership extends to roles as Director of Nursing at residential detoxification facilities and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) centers, showcasing her administrative skills in addiction treatment.

Beyond her clinical roles, Linda plays a pivotal role in mentoring and training healthcare professionals, including RNs, LVNs, and residential technicians. She will be completing her education to transition to a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in August 2025. This expansion of her scope of practice will allow her to provide more comprehensive mental health and addiction care, bridging the gap between medical detox and psychiatric treatment. Her passion for educating others about addiction treatment reflects her commitment to making a positive impact on colleagues and, ultimately, the lives of their clients.
